24th July 2022
Saturday 16th July 2022 a cat was brought to us by a feeder to help with neutering; he/she was found in his garden.
We saw immediately that something was wrong with this cat: he/she didn't see nor hear anything and was walking uncontrolled.
We thought it was a female and on Monday 18th July "she" was taken to the vet to be neutered and, as we already decided that "she" couldn't go in the streets again and decided to keep "her" here, all blood tests and microchip were done.
All tests were fine, also FIV/FeLV negative, and it was a neutered MALE! He didn't have an earclip (a V-cut in the ear which is done with neutered stray cats) so for sure he was a home cat!
The vet couldn't determine what's wrong with him as his eyes are physically ok but he could be brain blind, due to being hit by a car as he had also a broken molar (which was extracted).
We took him into our house and he felt at home very soon!
I'm also the admin of the Facebook Page Lost and found CATS Malta so I posted him there and it didn't take long to find his possible owner so I contacted her but when I told her that he's blind and deaf she said that it wasn't her cat... most probably he just wasn't wanted anymore... poor boy...
Or lucky boy?
